The Social-Justice Sing-Along effort draws inspiration from the Civil Rights and anti-war movements of the 1950s-1960s and activists like Pete Seeger (above), but we're affiliated with no official organizations. As Alyx Vesey (an attendee of the first Sing-Along) put it, we believe in:
We also believe that these are sad, dark days when the worst impulses of the American spirit are all too prevalent. We seek solace and inspiration through song.
